How HLAS Convinced Me To Get An Annual Travel Insurance In Singapore

When I travel (and I do travel a lot) the one thing I really make sure I have is travel insurance. I mean, it’s hard for me to travel without travel insurance.

I’m a real estate sales consultant, and the real estate developer I tie-up with have projects all over the world. So when they need a bit of a sales boost in one of their global regions, they send me there.
Of course, I’m always based in Singapore. But I make at least 5 international travels in a year. That’s why I really need travel insurance. But travel insurance is expensive here in Singapore (and I mean really expensive!) that’s why I always try to look for a cheap travel insurance when I need to travel.
Before, I used to shop around for travel insurance from various insurance providers whenever I needed to travel. They often offer me an annual travel insurance, but they can’t seem to convince me that it was worth my money since I didn’t travel a lot back then.

That’s until I came across HLAS.  They really turned my perception of annual insurances and how I could save with it even when I didn’t travel a lot. Here are some takeaways that I got after I had a talk with them:

1.       Annual travel insurances save you the hassle of paperwork
When you apply for a single trip travel insurance, it requires a lot of paperwork-- they ask lots of questions and ask you to fill out forms. I didn’t really think this as a hassle before since I only travelled a couple of times in a year. But they made me see the bigger picture: the more the company I’m tied up with expands, the more I’ll need to travel, and that means more paperwork in a year.

2.       You pay only once a year
With annual travel insurance, you only pay once for a coverage of one year. This is especially helpful for real estate consultants like me who earn through a commission and need to know how to handle our own money. I didn’t really mind the insane amount I pay for single-trip insurances before, but when I and my insurance agent did the math, I was really surprised at how much I could have saved if I just took an annual travel insurance earlier.

3.       You have the same coverage all year round
Throughout a year, insurance coverages change depending on the promos they offer or the amount of coverage they can offer. Of course, if you’re a less frequent traveller, it’s okay to just get whatever the offering is. But I realised that if you travel just as much as I do, you’ll want to have the same travel insurance coverage all year round. I mean, it’s a hassle to keep looking at terms and condition for every travel insurance I get and often I forget my coverages. At least with an annual travel insurance, I only need to remember the important stuff!

HLAS really changed the way I see annual travel insurance, that’s why now I’m secured by their annual travel insurance plan all year round! I really recommend them.
